My name is Aruna, and I am from the UK. I came across the PAAJAF Foundation after volunteering as a UN Online Volunteer. I’ve given a recurring monthly donation of $30 to the PAAJAF Foundation from 2012 to present.
I’m really pleased to support this organisation that helps underprivileged children in Gbawe, Ghana to receive scholarship support to go to school.
PAAJAF have been vetted regularly by GlobalGiving, a donation platform based in the UK and USA (www.GlobalGiving.org). Their project evaluators meet with beneficiaries and staff on the ground to check how projects are running. PAAJAF are helping 4 children to attend school by paying their school fees and identifying children who need help through their work in the community.
PAAJAF checks the validity of the students needs for scholarship support, the children are committed to going to school. Philip Appiah is a dedicated Director and works tirelessly to promote the students’ scholarship needs and I speak to him regularly about how my donation is supporting the children. Recently, the donations were used to pay Erica’s school fees for one term, and to see a picture of her at school, meant a lot to me.
It is a rewarding experience to be part of, to see how even a small donation goes a long way to provide a child with access to education, food and a bright future!
