Empower 60 Children and 35 Youth with Computer Skills Training

Empower 60 children and 35 youth with computer skills training is a project under the PAAJAF Educational Institute (PEI) to provide IT Training in computer informatics and electronics to the poor orphans, and underprivileged and neglected children, youth and young Adult at Gbawe in Accra, Ghana to training in this Information Age.
Thousands of at-risk youths and young adults in Ghana have never used a computer, let children, youth and young Adult at Gbawe in Accra, Ghana receive basic training in Information Age: skills in computer informatics and electronics. Through our training, the beneficiaries will be able to become productively engaged and better qualified to obtain jobs that they were previously unqualified for. There is a dire need for this form of training, available principally at commercial prices, which is beyond their reach. This helps bridge the Digital Divide and level the playing field.
Also, there is no community base computer training centre in Gbawe. Many people cannot afford the high cost of purchasing computer and materials for coursework, and sufficient access to technology and the Internet is lacking those is there avalibility of mobile phones but not everybody can afford to by it.
The activities include:
- Providing a learning environment with access to computer informatics and electronics in the following areas:
- Concept Introduction which include office applications, Designing, Programming, Gaming, Software, Hardware and Internet where children, youth and young adults can gain the computer skills needed to be successful in school and to secure better jobs in the future.

- Internet installation
Potential Long Term Impact
The project offers new opportunities for Children, youths and young adults to become computer literate, viable and competitive in the market place, develop their careers, rise above poverty and contribute to national development.
