Help Save Lives Based on Gbawe, Ghana
Ghana is an African country which is stricken by all forms of misfortune bringing death to millions of children especially in Gbawe, Ghana which is a town in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana near the capital Accra. Though many national as well as international movements are in action to prevent such acts from the community, the problem still exists. So let us get together to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana!
Child malnutrition has become a common issue in many countries as more than 165 million children are malnutritioned globally and as a result 3-4 million children lives are lost each year; annual global economic loss approximately $ 4 trillion. In fact in urban cities like Gbawe, Ghana the current prevalence rates of malnutrition remain above internationally acceptable standards.
When it comes to a child’s health, nutrition plays a vital role in intellectual and physical wellbeing which causes mentally and physical development of a child. Malnutrition itself is a serious issue as it affects the health outcome of the child causing serious adverse impact on the livelihoods, school performance and eventually future earnings and productivity of the whole country.
Therefore it is vital to ensure that proper measures are being taken to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana while making the children have a balanced diet so that Ghana’s future generation will be productive while contributing towards economic growth of the country which is presently at a great risk. In order to implement such acts to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana, pragmatic steps both at sub-national, national and international levels to be taken especially to overcome child malnutrition. As immediate goals, the initial focus should be on reducing hunger and morality of the children less than five years. So the donors from all corners of the world could contribute to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana in order to participate and fund educational campaigns on proper infant feeding and complementary dieting. Also they could contribute in farming projects as a long term solution to prevent malnutrition as growing and eating healthy food is the best solution for same. In view of this, agriculture is being used as the key driver of better health outcomes.
There are many ways a Donor or a Volunteer could join:
Partnering with health centers to integrate agricultural support and health education in the clinical treatment of malnutrition
Advocating policies and programs that include agriculture to prevent malnutrition
Training partners throughout the region (Gbawe, Ghana) who are interested in adapting methodologies developed based on family units.
Another unfortunate situation of Ghanaian children are faced with especially when the mother dies from childbirth due to aids or other illness, the baby will be rejected by the father as well as by the relatives and the community for having caused death to the mother. So they become orphans incurring additional cost to the community.
Many national and international movements are coming up to fund such orphanages but not yet found a permanent solution to the crisis. In fact the need for more and more funds to be collected in order to maintain such facilities tohelp save lives in Gbawe Ghana especially in rural areas like Gbawe, Ghana.
Even the Ghanaian government has taken initiatives to seek assistance from international movements to provide their helping hand towards this to provide them with housing, food and clothing, schooling and love until they reach their adulthood so that the children can reunite with their relatives after finding employment etc. In fact they need kind assistance of volunteers or donors to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana as cost of bringing up such a child is immense as the whole country is in a crisis such as poverty. They cannot exist without external support. Therefore to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana, national or international sponsors are invited to support with volunteer work or in terms of finance assistance for specific activities such as construction of a building or a farming project, education project or in general operating costs.
Another evil act taking place in urban villages like Gbawe, Ghana is hazardous trafficking which brings death to many children due to fishing under hazardous conditions. Though many international movements help save lives in Gbawe Ghana but still the practice is being continued while giving a challenge to Ghanaian government. It’s the responsibility of all of us to end this practice at least by the year 2022.
Unfortunately the captured children are out of their basic needs at least safe water and education. Instead they are forced to catch fish even dying under water especially to untangle fish nets risking their lives while getting caught to many hazardous diseases which brings them death; no wonder Ghana being ranked as the 18th worst country in the world for modern slavery.
Therefore it is essential that the social welfare organisations and INGO’s turn their heads towards this cruelty with their helping hand to provide any kind of support while ending poverty in these communities so that they can gain self-satisfaction while contributing in this meritorious act to help save lives.
Also to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana of these children it is important to turn our heads towards the government for enforcement of more stronger law while bringing justice to these children. Also to release adequate funds to Human Trafficking Board which has already being allocated by the budget. Apart from this, to make the police actively involved in this attempt with their blessed resources of Anti Human Trafficking Unit. Further National Plan of action to be initiated for elimination of worst forms of child labour to help save lives in Gbawe Ghana.
Finally as human beings we always should realise that it is our utmost responsibility and duty to prevent such cruelty from the communities as we should always give something back to this type of communities according to our capacity or make a difference to these people bringing them love, kindness and happiness they deserve. In fact, this is a great opportunity for all of us to make ourselves being involved as a volunteer while using our knowledge and skills or make use of our wealth towards this charitable act. Your effort can be in any form either Corporate sponsorships, Multiyear Grants, Donations, Funding campaigns or Volunteer work.
