Many children in Ghana live in extreme poverty. Education is the long-term path out of poverty, but some children can’t even afford to go to a free school. This is where we come in with child sponsorship. This program allows for more personalized assistance to a child.
Working with the aim of ending poverty and illiteracy among underprivileged children, youth and women in rural Ghana, we focus on the following core areas of work: Education, Child Welfare, Youth Resilience and Health.
The Sponsor A Child program helps children in their daily life, giving them the chance to build a better future. It’s a highly personalised approach to child welfare, as every child’s family situation is different.
By sponsoring a child with PAAJAF, you are giving a child a scholarship. Your scholarship fund provides local impoverished children with access to quality education and life-saving resources such a clean water, nutritious food and provision of health care.
Additionally, the Gbawe population mainly consists of low-income families that cannot afford private education and consequently, children under 13 years-old are mostly not enrolled in any type of formal education.
As a sponsors, you’ll have the opportunity for a personalized relationship with the child, be a part of their growth and development, and eventually be a real partner in their future.
